Supersonic
These three paintings were created at different times and in a very different mindset than Red Akira, White Akira, and Zenith. This time, I had no clear image of the final result in advance. The works grew primarily from gesture, intuition, and direct physical movement.
I deliberately tried to avoid predominantly dark tones. For example, Supersonic contains only a minimal amount of dark color and shifts the atmosphere toward a brighter, more open spectrum.
The paintings are again influenced by cyberpunk culture and by Japanese, American, and German visual references. The mood of the original Blade Runner remains an important point of reference – foggy night streets, glowing windows, and vertical city light cutting through darkness.
